It rained most of the night and didn’t stop just because we woke up. After we reluctantly climbed out of our tents we went to the rec room and made breakfast and coffee under the awning. Don’t hit the road until almost 11.
It was a light rain for about half the day, grey and unseasonably cool. An early highlight was fish and chips from an elevated chip truck.
Another highlight was the rail trail. The route were following offered many options to leave it but we stayed on. It was mostly in great shape, and the traffic free fast rolling riding without the wind was great.
We stopped a lot along the way. Map checking, choice making, bladder relieving, layer switching. All considered, making giant distances was not happened and not the goal. We decided to opt for a nice night with a fire and showers at macgregor provincial park after a day of 82 km. Nice.
Tomorrow looks to be on the cool side stuff but rain free.
I’ll take some of the fish n chips……that’s the first good food photo you’ve posted in a long time, IMO!! Plus you got wood for a fire. Sounds like a good day. Hope today is going well. Sleep well.
