And here I am back in my tent, now in Nova Scotia at Caribou Monroe’s provincial park.
We had a great few days in PEI with Julian and Marie. Incredible beaches, good food and lots of laughs. I really like PEI and we had excellent hosts.
Today’s ride was fairly short. 45 km to the ferry, an hour on the ferry and then 5 km to the park. I had a little excitement due to a flat tire, but as luck would have it I happened to be between a gas station and a store with tubes at the time.
I may have seen 2 whales from the ferry. There was for sure a pair of beasts in the water that weren’t seals or birds.
I have now surpassed 1000 km for this ride. Which is fairly impressive, until you meet Unicycle Dave on a ferry like I did who started in mid May in Victoria and has so far peddled 8000 km on a single ~4 foot diameter wheel (with front and rear racks and a disc brake). Now that’s freakin’ nuts. Apparently he is make a movie of the trip.
Tomorrow is the last ride of consequence. Here to Laurie park just outside Halifax, 140 km from my current location.
