:). Not done yet. After a few days in Montague with Karen, Marie, Julian and Seamus I ride to Halifax to get a plane home on Sunday. It’s only 2 nights, but still…
Yes the fish and chips are very good. And not just because I cycle for hours to get them.
Today was the kind of day that I do these rides for. Tailwind, intermittent sunshine, 25 celsius (75 f), and a visible and inviting big body of water.
First stop was the Anne of green gables museum. Karen begged me to go because she loves the show so much. (This show is roughly the Canadian equivalent of little house on the prairie I think.)
Next stop was the western part of the national park and 12 km of cycling bliss. Paved trail next to The following pictures. The panoramic is where I ate lunch. Not a great photo, but you get the idea.
Then some kms on an oddly busy highway without a shoulder. Can’t win em all I suppose.
Then the eastern portion of the park where I am staying tonight. Much like the western part. (Pic 5 and 6).
Basically big stretches of nearly empty beach. Awesome.
82 km today. Other than the beach stretches it was full of small hills. <10 kph for 5 minutes uphill. >30 kph for 1 minute down. I couldn’t count how many cycles of this I did today.
Tomorrow is a half a day ride to some friends and a solid roof. Looking forward to it.
