Victory lap or punishment lap? You tell me.
It was just over 40 miles and 4000 ft of elevation gain. We were just shy of reaching 8000 ft above sea level.
Basically 3 giant hills to go up then down. Most of it was absolutely spectacular. The rest just regular spectacular. Not only the views of the lake but also the views of the surrounding area. I couldn’t look too long or hard due to my fear of heights, but it was really breath taking. And I’ll have you know I did not have to walk my bike at all.
We both slept last night without the flies on our tents in hopes of seeing meteors. I didn’t see any but Jeremy did. We couldn’t stay up late enough for the real show. Not looking like tonight will be any different in terms of bed time.
Tomorrow will be 53 miles to Klamath Falls. I think we are looking at a total of under 100 feet of uphill. Which will be a nice change of pace. Literally.
