A week from tomorrow I am going to ride my bike 300km (190 miles) to Sandbanks Provincial Park where Karen and I will spend 2 nights. I am taking 3 days to do it, stopping at 2 other provincial parks to sleep on the way. Much of the distance is trail and not highway which is great. Depending on how it goes and the weather I hope to also ride back, but I would do it in 2 days and would stick to the lake the whole way to shave some distance and time. It may be a bit ambitious.
It is very quickly cooling down here. With any luck the leaves will be in full color and it won’t rain. Right now the forecast is looking decent.
I am pretty excited about it. It has been a long time since I went camping and I have never done a multi-day bike ride. And if you look at pictures of Sandbanks you can see why it will be a nice place for me and Karen to hang out for a few days.
